Who we are
Oldfield Machine Works carries the name on the domain because the name reflects how this business actually operates — no holding company obscuring who you are dealing with, no intermediary layer between the client and the decision-maker. We built this company around the remarketer model because it is the only structure that keeps us honest about what equipment is worth: when we buy with our own capital, the valuation discipline is not academic. A number we get wrong costs us money, which means we get very few numbers wrong. The buyer network we maintain is the other half of that discipline. Remarketing only works when the buyers are already in the room — not recruited after a seller signs. Oldfield Machine Works has spent its operating life building relationships with qualified buyers across North America and internationally, so that when a die cast cell or a Swiss turning center or a rotational mold line comes into inventory, the path to its next owner is already mapped. That reach is what separates a remarketer from a listing service, and it is what our clients are really hiring when they call us. We handle every category of plastics processing and metalworking equipment because the production floor does not sort itself by specialty. A plant closing has grinding equipment next to injection presses next to EDM cells, and the team managing the exit needs to understand all of it. We do.
